The Town of Washington/Village of Millbrook Historical Society is a vibrant group of people of all ages that are interested in the history of the Town of Washington and the Village of Millbrook.

Our purpose is to discover and collect any material which may help to establish or illustrate the history of the Town of Washington/Village of Millbrook, including the exploration, settlement and development patterns, to provide for the preservation of such material and for its accessibility; to cooperate with officials in insuring the preservation and accessibility of the records; to cooperate with institutions in the conduct of archeological investigations of aboriginal or pioneer sites in said township and village.

Further our mission is to disseminate historical information and arouse interest and pride in the history of the area among all age groups by publishing historical materials in newspapers or otherwise, by holding meetings with discussions, lectures, addresses, and pageants, by marking historical buildings, sites and trails, and by using the media or radio and television to awaken the public interest; to aid and encourage restoration and preservation of natural and manmade landmarks.
